Definition
不论 (bù lùn) means 'no matter (what/who/how etc.)' and is used in the pattern '不论…都…'. It is similar to 不管 (bù guǎn) and 无论 (wú lùn), but 不论 is more neutral in register — less formal than 无论 and slightly more formal than 不管. In everyday conversation, 不管 is most common; in writing, 无论 is preferred.
