Definition
不用 (bù yòng) is the everyday, spoken way to say 'don't have to / need not' — it expresses a lack of necessity. Unlike 不要 (bù yào), which means 'must not' (prohibition), 不用 simply says something is unnecessary. 不必 (bù bì) is more formal/written, and 无须 (wú xū) is even more formal.
