Definition
This is a fixed expression (not a chengyu) that literally means 'not big, not small' but is used to say something is just the right size, age, or amount — neither too much nor too little. You can use it for clothes fitting well, someone being the right age for a task, or a portion being just enough. It carries a feeling of appropriateness and is often placed after the verb 是 or at the end of a sentence as a complement.
