Definition
下部 has two very different meanings: the literal 'lower part' of an object (e.g. a building, a document, a structure) and the euphemistic 'private parts' of the human body. The second sense is more common in medical or formal contexts, so be careful about context — it's not used casually the way 'lower part' might be in English.
