下家字面意思是'next household'，在牌局（麻将、扑克等）和轮流活动（喝酒、打球等）中指按顺序轮到的人，即你之后的那位。打牌时通常指自己左手边的玩家。还有旧时谦称'我家'的用法（如'下家寒舍'），但现代口语中几乎只用前两个意思。
