The 万里长城 (Wàn lǐ Cháng chéng) is the full Chinese name for the Great Wall of China, literally meaning 'ten-thousand-li long wall'. It is a series of fortifications built over centuries and is one of the most iconic symbols of Chinese civilization. When talking about visiting or referring to this landmark, you almost always use the full name 万里长城 rather than just 长城.
