一蹴而就 is a four-character idiom (成语) meaning 'to succeed at the first try' or 'to accomplish something in one go'. The literal meaning is 'one step and then succeed', but it is most commonly used in negative constructions (不能一蹴而就) to emphasize that something cannot be done overnight and requires time and effort.
