Definition
一笔勾销 is a four-character idiom (成语) that literally means 'to cancel with a single stroke of the pen'. It is used metaphorically to say that something — such as a debt, a grudge, a past mistake, or an obligation — is completely wiped out or settled once and for all. You often see it in the 把 construction: 把某事一笔勾销. It carries a sense of finality and forgiveness.
