Definition
一早 (yī zǎo) is a colloquial phrase meaning 'early in the morning' or 'first thing in the morning', often used adverbially. It differs from 早晨 (zǎo chen), which is the general word for 'morning' as a time period; 清晨 (qīng chén) is more literary; 凌晨 (líng chén) refers to the wee hours before dawn; and 黎明 (lí míng) is the moment of daybreak.
