Definition
一则 is a conjunction used in formal or written Chinese to list two parallel reasons, facts, or aspects, equivalent to 'firstly ... secondly' or 'on the one hand ... on the other hand'. It often pairs with 二则 (èr zé) to structure a two-part argument, but can also introduce the first point alone, with the second implied or introduced by another word. Use it when you want to sound organized and somewhat literary.
