一再 (yī zài) means 'repeatedly, again and again' and emphasizes the continuity or persistence of an action, often with a sense of annoyance or consequence. It is very close to 再三 (zài sān), but 再三 is more neutral and often used for polite urging (再三叮嘱), while 一再 can carry a critical tone (一再犯错). 连连 (lián lián) implies rapid, successive occurrences, and 屡次 (lǚ cì) is more formal and written.
